Busy day replacing batteries which choose this moment to die, stuffing the boat with remaining items which will need sorting out in Queenscliff, and a great send-off from HBYC.
Then an interesting sail down the bay thorough thunder and lightning and squalls from random directions. Our new wind instrument read 180 knots at one stage, but that seemed to have more to do with lightning than wind!
Anyway, I had a much longer post written in blogger, but that piece of crap crashed and took my half hour of work with it, so here are some photos... Will try to pay more tomorrow...
Bon Voyage!
ReplyDeleteThanks! The trick with posting as Anonymous is we don't know who you are, but thanks anyway! :)
DeleteBon voyage! We look forward to following your adventuresxx
ReplyDeleteGood luck. It's going to be a great adventure.
ReplyDeleteHey, your AIS seems to have taken a hit from lightning, last shown position is from the 22nd. Unless you're traveling in stealth mode to avoid the paparazzi
ReplyDeleteYep, you've got it! Dam paps!
DeleteWe've been staying in Queenscliff (down the bottom of Port Phillip Bay) waiting for a windows to sail to Tasmania. One opened then closed so we're off to Portarlington for 2 nights then Geelong for 2 nights of yucky weather. Then back to Queenscliff to try again over the weekend. Will have AIS turned on today :)
